Terms of Service

Last updated: August 28, 2026.

EV Engineering Lab (evengineeringlab.com) is a site from Wilmoth Engineering, LLC. These terms cover this site only. They are not the Doodle A Day terms on wilmoth.engineering.

By using this site, you agree to this page.

What this site is

Public notes for home EV conversions, browser tools (calculators, a J1772 PWM helper, a DBC reader, a CAN log tool), a parts list that links out to other shops, a forum, and a project tracker.

An account is optional. You need one to post in the forum or add a project. Learn and the toolbox work without one.

This is not stamped engineering

High voltage can kill you. The notes and the calculators are public notes and arithmetic. They are not a sealed drawing, not a build manual, and not a promise that a conversion is safe, legal, or finished. You are responsible for the vehicle, the codes, and the work.

If a number on a calculator disagrees with a datasheet or a code, the datasheet and the code win.

Parts

The catalog is a list with datasheets and buy links. We are not selling those parts on this site. When you follow a link, that shop’s terms apply.

Accounts and what you post

If you register, we store the username, email, and password you give us.

Posts and projects you publish stay yours. You give Wilmoth Engineering, LLC a license to show them on this site. Don’t post anything unlawful, or anything you don’t have the right to post. We can take a post down or close an account.

Tools

The calculators and the DBC / CAN tools send the values or files you submit to our servers so the page can return a result. Don’t upload a file you are not allowed to share.

Our work

Notes, tools, and the design of this site belong to Wilmoth Engineering, LLC. Don’t copy the site and republish it as yours.

As-is

The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Wilmoth Engineering, LLC is not liable for how you use it, including damage to a vehicle or injury. If a court will not allow that limit, our liability is limited to what you paid us to use this site.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top is the current version. Keep using the site after a change and you accept the new page.
