What we collect
If you only read. Learn notes, the parts list, and the toolbox UI do not require an account. The host that serves the site may record ordinary request data (IP address, browser, pages requested) so the site stays up.
If you make an account. Registration asks for a username, email, and password. That is what we store for the account. The register page says why: posting in the forum or adding a project. We do not require an account for Learn or the toolbox.
If you post. Forum threads and project-tracker entries you publish, plus your username on them.
If you use a tool that sends work to the server. The DBC reader posts the DBC text to /api/dbc/parse. The CAN log tool posts the DBC and log to /api/can-log/play. The PWM helper sends the duty you typed so it can return a current. We use that data to return the result. We do not sell it. Don’t upload a file you cannot share.
Cookies. A session cookie when you sign in. A CSRF token on forms. A remember-me cookie if you check that box. The public pages also load Bootstrap from jsDelivr.
We do not run a third-party ad network on this site. We do not sell personal information.
What we don’t collect on purpose

Parts links
Buy links go to other shops. What those shops collect is their policy, not ours.
Children
This site is not aimed at children. Don’t make an account if you are under 13.
